The Podiatric Surgeons Society of India was founded to give surgeons a unified, credible platform dedicated to the advancement of podiatric surgery and diabetic foot care in India.
Our members are surgeons from across general surgery, orthopaedics, vascular surgery, and plastic surgery who share a common focus: the surgical management of complex foot and ankle conditions. These include diabetic foot ulcers, Charcot foot, osteomyelitis, trauma, deformities, and reconstructive procedures.
PSSI advances this specialty through education, workshops, academic exchange, and the development of national guidelines for diabetic foot surgery and podiatric surgical care. The society also promotes research, encourages indigenous innovations, and ensures that Indian expertise is represented internationally through collaborations with the International Federation of Podiatrists (FIP) and other global organisations.
By joining PSSI, surgeons gain recognition as part of the professional body that defines, represents, and strengthens podiatric surgery in India.
